It produces and exports fruits and vegetables like grapes, strawberries, fine beans, bananas, avocados, and chilies. It also manufactures and distributes Lipton Tea, Sunlight Detergent Powder, Omo Detergent Powder, Vim, Geisha, and Blends and packs Almeta Tea. It is an importer of Bic ballpoint pens, and Harvey Roofing Products into the Ethiopian market.

We are actively collaborating with multinational companies, producing potatoes, corn, and grapes; we also collaborate with the government producing seeds and haricot beans, and by working with local government agencies, we help stabilize market conditions for consumers at the Sunday retail market. Mesele Chane CEO, Almeta Business Group
Mesele Chane is a business and development manager and leader who specializes in strategies and operations to drive company growth. For the past seventeen years, he has worked for government, non-profit, and corporate organizations. His most recent position at TechnoServe was as the program manager for regenerative agriculture. He worked for UNIDO as a national business planner. He was the In-Country Manager at Dalhousie University before that. As a Senior Project Officer at the Agricultural Transformation Agency, he was in charge of developing a strategy for horticultural crop development.
At Omotic General Trading PLC, he worked as a Farm Manager producing high-quality bananas and exporting meat. He was employed by a Privatization Agency as a Project Field Manager for a national rubber tree plantation and processing project supported by FAO. He started his work in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as a Senior Agricultural Trainer, offering training, research, and community services.
He made significant contributions to the creation of national policies, strategies, and plans pertaining to agricultural transformation, food security, and federal governance. He is an excellent manager of relationships, contracts, people, programs and projects. He has a growth mentality, accept responsibility for my actions, show loyalty, uphold the greatest standards of conduct, ethics, and professionalism, and am quick to pick up new abilities. He is certified in project management and business administration, and he has two master's degrees in public management and human & economic development in addition to two bachelor's degrees in agriculture and management. Working at the nexus of people, the environment, and profit excites him.
